“THOSE WHO FROM AFAR LOOK LIKE FLIES” AN ANTOLOGY OF ITALIAN POETRY by Luca Lauria, Luigi Boccia, Roberta Ielpo

This evening the Italian Institute of Culture hosted an event dedicated to poetry presented by Clodagh Brook (TCD) together with poet E. Ó Cuilleanáin. The theme of the evening was ‘Those Who From Afar Look Like Flies’, an anthology of poems and essays which allows English speakers to access and engage with previously untranslated contemporary Italian poetry. To present the evening where Luigi Ballerini and Giuseppe Cavatorta who edited the book.
Luigi Ballerini has taught Modern and Contemporary Italian Literature at New York University (1984-1990) and the University of California at Los Angeles (1991-2010). Beppe Cavatorta is an Associate Professor of Italian at the University of Arizona.
