Those who watched the Golden Globe Award ceremony on TV last night, witnessed something extraordinary.
As the first black lady to win the Cecil B. DeMille Award, 63 year old Oprah Winfrey delivered a historical thank you speech which had moved a packed audience and millions of viewers. A comment by a famous actor was that the next planet should named after her.
In her arousing speech she touched on harassment of women on male dominated circles including the filming industry, as well the scourge of racism in the world. The consumed TV broadcaster and actress, didn’t mince her words in stating that she was confident that her award was the start of a new era where inequality, abuse and racism will have no more place.
There is now a call for her to run for  president of the USA.
